Saudia Airlines Joins Apple's AirTag Luggage Tracking Feature

Apple’s innovative Find My feature for tracking lost or delayed luggage using AirTags has just expanded to include Saudia Airlines, the flag carrier of Saudi Arabia. With this addition, a total of 30 global airlines now support the Share Item Location feature, introduced with iOS 18.2.
What Is the Share Item Location Feature?
Released in iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, and macOS Sequoia 15.2, Apple’s Share Item Location feature allows users to generate a temporary live tracking link for any AirTag-equipped item, such as luggage. This link can be securely shared with others — including airline staff — to help locate lost baggage more efficiently.
Key aspects of this feature include:
- Live-updating map viewable via a web link.
- Temporary access that expires after 7 days.
- Privacy-focused design requires airline staff to authenticate with an Apple ID or a verified partner email.
- Owner control to disable location sharing at any time.
Saudia Airlines Now Supported
Saudia Arabia becomes the latest airline to integrate support for this helpful tool. The expansion reflects Apple’s ongoing collaboration with airlines to enhance the travel experience through private and secure luggage tracking.
