macOS Tahoe 26: Smarter, Sleeker, and More Connected Than Ever

Apple has officially unveiled macOS Tahoe 26, the next-generation macOS update, bringing a refreshed design, deeper iPhone integration, and smarter AI features powered by Apple Intelligence.
A Gorgeous New Look

The new “Liquid Glass” design gives macOS a sleek, translucent style across the desktop, Dock, and menu bar. Icons now adapt to light or dark mode with customizable tints, folder symbols, and personalized themes.
Seamless Continuity with iPhone
The new Phone app on Mac allows users to handle calls, voicemails, and even screen unknown callers. Live Activities from iPhone now appear in the Mac’s menu bar, letting users track things like flights or Uber rides in real time.
Smarter Spotlight

Spotlight gets its biggest update yet. Users can now take actions like sending emails or playing podcasts directly from search. It also intelligently ranks results and introduces new filters and quick actions.
Powerful Apple Intelligence
Live Translation, intelligent Shortcuts, and creative tools like Genmoji and Image Playground elevate productivity. Apple Intelligence works on-device for privacy and can even interface with ChatGPT.
Gaming and More

A new Apple Games app and Game Overlay offer a streamlined experience, while titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Crimson Desert are coming to Mac with full Metal 4 support.
Available This Fall
macOS Tahoe 26 is available now for developers and in public beta next month. The official release comes this fall as a free update.
