Apple Wallet in iOS 26 Now Lets You Save Full Credit Card Details

Apple’s Wallet app is becoming even more useful in iOS 26, taking another step toward replacing the traditional physical wallet. One of the standout features in the latest update is the ability to securely store full credit and debit card details directly within the Wallet app.
What’s New in Apple Wallet?
With iOS 26, users can now save the complete set of information (card number, CVV, expiry date, name ,etc.) for their credit and debit cards inside the Wallet app.
To access this feature, simply select a saved card in Wallet, tap the details icon in the top-right corner, and choose ‘Add Physical Card Information.’
Why It Matters
Until now, Apple’s Wallet app only stored limited card information, mainly for use with Apple Pay. Storing complete card details was a task typically handled by third-party apps like 1Password. With this new capability, Apple eliminates the need for a separate app to access full card information on the go.
Designed With Privacy in Mind
Apple emphasizes that this feature is completely optional. For users who choose to use it, all sensitive card details are encrypted and securely stored in iCloud Keychain. Apple assures that the information remains visible only to the user and is not used for Apple Pay transactions.
A Smarter Way to Go Cardless
By allowing users to store and access full card information in a secure and convenient way, iOS 26 brings Apple Wallet closer to becoming a true digital wallet. This enhancement complements Apple’s broader efforts to streamline everyday essentials into one app—securely and seamlessly.
