Apple Expands India Presence with 3rd Retail Store in Bengaluru

Apple is doubling down on its retail strategy in India, announcing the opening of its third store at the Phoenix Mall of Asia in Bengaluru. The new 8,000 sq. ft outlet, though smaller than its Mumbai and Delhi counterparts, is strategically placed in a high-end luxury mall.
Premium Location, Exclusive Terms
Located in one of India’s top-tier malls, Apple has secured exclusive terms by preventing direct competitors from leasing nearby retail space. The lease includes a 10-year term with revenue sharing—2% of revenue for the first three years, rising to 2.5% afterward.
India: A Strategic Growth Market
As US-China tensions and tariff threats loom, India is becoming a more vital market. Apple is not only expanding retail, but also increasing local iPhone production. CEO Tim Cook recently confirmed plans for four new stores across Pune, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and Bengaluru.
Future-Proofing Amid Global Uncertainty
India's growing middle class and expanding 5G infrastructure make it a prime growth opportunity. As global economies face inflation and instability, Apple’s deepening ties with India appear to be both a strategic hedge and a long-term growth play.
