New Apple iPhone 17 Accessory Leak Reveals “Crossbody Strap”

A New Case Feature for iPhone 17
Leaker Majin Bu has shared details about Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 cases, which will reportedly include lanyard holes at the bottom, similar to the AirPods Pro 2 case. Alongside the cases, Apple is expected to introduce a new accessory: the Crossbody Strap.
What Is the Crossbody Strap?

According to the leak, the Crossbody Strap uses a magnetic attachment system rather than traditional hooks or loops. The strap is said to have a flexible metal core with polarized rings at each end, allowing it to snap securely into place.
Why It Matters
If accurate, the Crossbody Strap could make the iPhone feel more like a dedicated camera, adding convenience for photographers and people on the go. Apple already leans into camera-focused features, like last year’s Camera Control button.
Will It Work?
The big question: Is a fully magnetic strap practical or over-engineered? While it promises easy attachment and detachment, some may worry it could result in dropped iPhones, which defeats the point of a safety strap.
When We’ll Know More
Apple will reveal the iPhone 17 lineup and accessories at its “Awe dropping” event on September 9 in California.
