Apple Drops to Eighth in the 2025 Fortune Global 500 Rankings

Apple has fallen one spot in the 2025 Fortune Global 500 list, now sitting at number eight. The tech giant was overtaken by UnitedHealth Group, marking the second time this year the healthcare company has outpaced Apple, the first being in the U.S.-only Fortune 500 list released in June.

UnitedHealth Group Overtakes Apple

UnitedHealth Group climbed from 8th to 7th place, pushing Apple down to 8th on the global list. This mirrors a similar ranking shift seen in Fortune’s U.S. rankings earlier this year, where UnitedHealth also edged past Apple.
